Before I begin, I need it understood that I have no problem with anyone that has been curated and that I am happy that you have been. My story is about those of us that have not been curated and a suggestion about how we can succeed despite being passed over.

Please skip down to near the bottom titled Now the reason I wrote this story if you don’t care to read how I came to my suggestion about getting non-curated authors their due reads.

Should I have a story curated in the future, trust me, I will be happy. But, for now, it has not happened and it looks things are not going to change. I will have to make some changes in what I write and how I write for me to have a chance to be released from curation jail. I’m not sure if I want to do that.

I don’t mind having a story not curated if an editor decides it is not worthy. What I do mind is paying a membership fee and having a new story not be considered simply because a past fiction story was not to their liking. I have been in curation jail since June 2019.

Doesn’t my fee include a chance to be curated? Does my jail time have a release? Should I be notified directly that my stories will not be considered for curation? All things that wish had been Medium had been transparent about.
