I think that goes against Mediums rules. This would count as republishing.

I do agree with letting some time pass, how much is completely dependent on the anxiousness of the writer to get published. I have no idea how many submissions there are ahead of me on busy publications. I will give them at least two full weekends without them having to contact me, and then I’ll begin to move on.
